What We Do
Hildegard House provides a home and short-term, quality end-of-life care and access to hospice services for people during the last three months of life. We fill a critical gap in end-of life care without duplicating services. Each resident has a hospice team. We provide a home and care 24-hours a day, 7 days a week for those with no home or without loves ones who are able to provide 24-hour care for them.

We are a resource for the entire community. We do not charge for our services.
Our Services
A Beautiful Home
Hildegard House has two homes in the Butchertown neighborhood of Louisville, KY. Each home provides a private room and care for three residents at a time. Visitors are allowed between 9 AM and 9 PM every day.
Compassionate Care
Hildegard House provides care for individuals in the last three months of life. Meals, laundry, housekeeping, and companionship are a part of the home setting at the Hildegard House and are provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Hospice Care
Every resident has a hospice team through Hosparus Health. The team is composed of a nurse, a nurse’s aide, a social worker and chaplain. Our residents, who would not otherwise be able to access hospice services, have a home and 24-hour care, while Hosparus provides team visits and medications.
